About Me

Resume Resume Instagram LinkedIn

My name is Frederik Mondel, and I am currently studying Industrial Engineering (B.Sc.) at the University of Augsburg. Alongside my studies, I work as a working student in product management at CHECK24, focusing on the camper chatbot. I am also active as a Junior Consultant at JMS Augsburg and serve as Head of IT Infrastructure for the VWI Augsburg student chapter, where I am responsible for website, member, and event management.

6-Axis-Robot

After several prototypes, a refined LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 robot has been operational since 2020, capable of serving beverages at my desk. The system uses two EV3 bricks with multiple motors and sensors, can be remotely controlled or run autonomously, and includes a custom user interface for basic configuration and program execution.

macOS App "Croissant"

Buy Me a Coffee GitHub

Croissant is a minimalist macOS dashboard designed to start your day right — combining weather, news, calendar events, reminders, system information, and nearby public transport departures in one elegant view. The app features six customizable tiles that can be freely selected and arranged. Currently optimized for use in Germany, the app is compatible with macOS Tahoe and above.

Croissant is completely free and open source, with no API keys required. External services are accessed via secure intermediaries: Cloudflare Workers protect weather API keys, headlines are retrieved via standard RSS feeds, and the Transit API provides Deutsche Bahn data. All personal data remains on your device; only location is used anonymously to retrieve weather and transit information.

As a student project, Croissant represents my passion for building apps I want to use myself. The name reflects its role in my daily morning routine: just as a croissant is part of breakfast in France, Croissant provides a daily briefing while I enjoy my coffee.
